The meaning of the lotus flower

During a meditation session many years ago, I got a strong visual of a lotus flower appear in my third eye. At the time, it made little sense to me and since I had no affiliation to flowers, I dismissed this image as a mere 'thought' constructed by my over-active mind. Fast forward years later, when I decided to create my healing business, I again sat in meditation and asked for guidance on my business name and logo. And there it appeared once more, a beautiful ivory-coloured lotus flower. Realising the connection, I began my research. If you examine it closely, my chosen logo encompasses the lotus flower. I wanted to understand why I was shown this particular flower and was humbled by what I had discovered. The lotus flower is, across all cultures, a symbol of PURITY as they rise from the mud without stains. The Lotus flower is also a symbol of STRENGTH, RESILIENCE & REBIRTH as they return to the murky waters each evening and open their blooms at the break of day. 

What a beautiful resonance to that of the path of self-healing!
