After a healing session, you may experience a range of sensations and responses — all of which are completely natural. Some clients feel an immediate sense of renewal and uplifted energy. One client once told me she felt like she could “run a marathon” right after her session! For others, the effects unfold more gradually, as the energy work continues to integrate into the physical body over time.
During a healing session, we’re working with your body’s energetic field, which can take hours or even days to fully settle and align with your physical form. You may notice tingly sensations, light-headedness, or a sense of spaciousness. It’s also common for the body to begin releasing energetic blocks in physical ways. This ‘purging’ is part of the clearing process and can show up as yawning, coughing, burping, sweating, urinating, lucid dreaming, or in some cases, even diarrhoea or vomiting. While we’re often conditioned to view these natural functions as unpleasant or shameful, they are simply signs that the body is doing what it’s designed to do — restoring balance and moving toward a state of homeostasis and wellness.
I encourage you to trust in your body’s innate wisdom. Allow whatever arises, without resistance, and surrender to the process. Your body is always working for you, guiding you toward your highest and brightest path.
