After a healing session, you may feel a number of different ways. Some clients emerge from the experience with an instant feeling of rejuvenation and renewed energy - one client told me that they felt they could 'run a marathon', straight after her session. For others, the experience takes longer to integrate due to a number of different reasons. During a healing session, the energy work that occurs needs time to settle - we are working with your bodies 'energetic field' and so it may take hours or even days for the energetic body to settle with the physical body. You may feel tingly sensations or 'light-headed'. Furthermore, during a healing session, the body is expelling unwanted blocks and energies from the physical body so it is not uncommon for your body to want to 'purge' after the session. This 'purge' can come in the form of coughing, yawning, burping, sweating, lucid dreaming, urinating and even diarrhoea and vomiting. We are conditioned to believe that these natural functions are 'negative' or something to be ashamed of, however, our body is a wonderful machine which is innately designed to heal, bringing us back into a state of homeostasis and wellness. Allow for this integration and surrender to what the body wants and needs to do to assist you in leading you on your highest and brightest path.
My recommendation is to find time after your healing session to rest, drink plenty of filtered water, avoid stimulants and to be in nature to ground your energy. Go easy on yourself, trusting that your body is working FOR you.
